Salted Honey Granola Glory
Crunchy, sweet, glorious, and fast, so crazy fast! Faster than this caption. Let's get into it.
Ingredients
1/2 Cup of Toasted Wheat Flakes
1/2 Cup of Rolled Oats
1/2 Cup of Mixed Seeds (Sesame, Sunflower, Pepitas, Linseeds)
A handful of almonds, roughly chopped
2 Tablespoons of Sunflower Oil
2 Teaspoons of Creamed Honey
Salt
To Serve
1 Cup of Frozen Mixed Berries
1-2 Figs Halved
Fresh Blueberries
Almond Butter
Basil Leaves
Method
Get a non-stick frying pan out and turn to a medium heat. Pour in the oil into the frying pan followed by the wheat flakes, rolled oats, seeds and almonds. Toss in the oil and toast until there is a bit of fragrance going on then put in the honey. Keep tossing it around. The honey will melt then coat everything in it's sugary goodness. Through in a couple of pinches of salt.
Increase the heat and get the honey caramelizing and super sticky for about a minute, all while tossing it about. Take off the heat and allow to cool.
While its cooling, heat frozen mixed berries in a pot on in the microwave until hot and bubbling. Serve with a spread of almond butter, berries, figs, fresh blueberries, and basil.
Enjoy!
